Privacy Statement

Burwood Pegasus Community Watch uses the NBCP Patroller Portal to support authorised patrollers and committee members. We aim to collect and use personal information only where it is reasonably needed for patrol administration, communication and community watch operations.

Information we may hold

This may include your name, Patroller ID, contact details, position, organisation unit, portal account information, roster assignments, availability preferences, portal activity records and information you provide through future patrol functions.

How we use information

We use information to administer patroller access, prepare and release rosters, communicate announcements, support patrol operations, maintain security, respond to support requests and improve the portal.

Email communications

Important announcements, account invitations, password resets and roster release notices may be sent to the email address recorded for you.

Security

Passwords are stored as one way password hashes. We use access controls, secure sessions, HTTPS and administrative logging to help protect the portal. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Access and correction

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you and request corrections where appropriate. Contact support@nbcp.online.

Sharing

We do not sell patroller information. Information may be made available to authorised NBCP personnel and service providers where needed to operate the portal. Operational information may also be handled in accordance with applicable Community Patrol and New Zealand Police processes.

Retention

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably required for administration, operational records, security, legal obligations and organisational continuity. Accounts may be deactivated when a person is no longer an active patroller.
